Studies the only way to go!
These tires have been great having used them in the snow, slushy conditions, lots of Traction, no slipping or sliding. Now we all know there isn't a whole lot we can do with ice but be careful and appropriately adjust to the proper driving conditions of the road. These tires have a little road noise that is expected simply due to the immense amount of sipping. Traction Galore!

I purchased 4 new snow tires in December 2021. Unfortunately, I have only driven in light snow. So far, so good. I lost about 4-5 miles per gallon. You lose a little quality in the ride but that was expected.

Big help this winter
These tires have been a big help this winter. This is my first time buying winter tires, so I don't have much to compare these to. But this year was also my first time driving with confidence on moderate snow and ice. I had zero problems maintaining traction with these and my AWD. They've felt more secure during cold rainy days as well. I've also taken them at 80 mph on the freeway during a dry day with no issues.

"Traction Tires"
I used to worry about using chains when crossing the Coast Range. Then I realized that I could purchase these "Traction Tires" listed on the highway signs for use in lieu of chains. And they are studless! These have great traction and have saved my bacon on numerous occasions when conditions change suddenly or I encounter unsafe drivers.

These tires are amazing. I live in Seattle and they came in clutch for the amount of snow we got. Traction helped out a lot. Also they last a long time for highway miles. I’ve always read mixed reviews they wouldn’t last. But they are proving themselves right! Highly recommend these tires for winter season!

Worth the money
I'm glad I made this purchase. I live in the Greater Seattle area where we have a lot of rain for 8+ months of the year. These tires hold up!!! Even in a couple inches of snow i was able to get around. The only reason I gave it 4, not 5 stars is how I felt misled when purchasing the tires. I bought the "studless" winter tire with the plan of putting the studs in when it snowed- something I was told I could do by the person who helped make my appointment. it wasn't conveyed to me until I spent the $1300+ that I can't go back and forth with this tire. It's studs or no studs, whatever I drive off the lot with is my final choice. Because my car is low profile I can't put chains on it, so looking back I should have bought the studded tires. Also, the ride is much bumpier (probably to be expected in a winter tire)

I have had studless snow tires for 12 years now on two different cars. They are the only kind of winter tire I will use on my front wheel drive cars. They provide good traction in all conditions and are quiet as normal tires.
