Exceptionally good tires !
not just great traction/braking on snow and ice. these tires handle great and run very smooth and quiet(compact awd car). exceeded my expectations by a long haul. do not yet know about tread life. plan to switch them in april

Getting over the mountain and through the snow!
I bought my tires about 3 months ago and they have gotten me over Mt. Hood dozens of times. I don’t have to stop to put chains on, but can get through some of the worst storms this year. Thank you Les Schwab!!

Confidence builders
I had been driving my front-wheel drive van fairly regularly over a local 5000-foot pass, dealing with chains a few times. I bought these tires to hopefully avoid chains. Came over the pass the other day in "severe weather conditions" - all good going up the pass, and down the other side. Great traction, and great confidence-building.

Leave them on year round. I just went over 130,000
When I bought my car in 05, I couldn’t believe how little traction I had in snow. I believed that a front wheel drive car always had good traction. I immediately went to LesSchwab and they took care of my problem.

Very grippy on ice
I have these tires on a subcompact car with front wheel drive. i haven't yet had the chance to drive in snow, but have encountered some ice--and on a twisty, steep road. The tires performed very well. I am so glad they don't make a racket like the kind with metal studs, as well.

Very good snow tire for the price
Research from various DOTs show that studies winter tires out perform studded tires in all conditions except white ice. I've used several different studless and studded winter tires over the past 30 years and the Observe GSi-5 performs very well in winter weather. Made several trips up into the mountains for winter recreation without an issue.

Just as efficient as studded tires
I've never used stud less tires before but thats all Les Schwab has in stock at the time, and I'm sure glad I gave them a try! They are quieter and just as efficient as the I pikes I used to have. THANK YOU!

Good for normal winter conditions.
I bought 4 snow tires early in winter. The weather was clear so they weren't necessary until last month. They performed well in light snow. In 13" of snow I couldn't safely back out of my drive. I do have a slight incline and a second car was beside mine so when I began to fish tail I had to return to the garage.
