M-55

The M-55 may be the best traction tire for heavy-duty use on light trucks and vans on the market. This is a tough tire for the toughest driving. The aggressive tread pattern includes optional studs and hundreds of siping edges for wet and snow traction in every direction. Open channels on the shoulder clear slush out of the tread with efficiency and improve stability even when you’re hauling loads. The cut- and chip-resistant tread compound protects against impacts. Expect many seasons of use: With an extra-strong sidewall and best-in-class durability, the M-55 outlasts many trucks.
Owners of this tire are repeat customers and say this is the best tire going for traveling in the middle of nowhere on all types of terrain when you can’t afford to get stranded. They can’t say enough about the M-55’s handling on gravel, mud, snow, grass, country roads and the highway.
This tire can have metal studs added to improve traction on hard-packed snow and icy surfaces. They are not recommended on wet or dry surfaces and often only legal during certain times of the year. Studded tires are permitted on passenger/light truck vehicles during the following dates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough tires I had M55s on my pickup before and they went up in price so bought different tires. I use my pickup as a work truck, it gets abused. The other tires felt like I was riding on balloons and within a week I had a flat. Never had flats with my M55s. I went back and swapped them out for a new set of M55s. If you want a tough tire the can drive over anything and handle a load the M55s are the tire you need. If you want to drive your pickup as a commuter on pavement then go for the lesser tire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great staff Been running these tires for years. Love the quality and consistency of them. They hold up well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long wearing, but squirmy We have bought nothing but Toyos for years. 54 Willys with 37" MT, 91 Blazer with 35" MT, and MT, RT, and M-55 on a 2017 GMC 3500. We have always had great life from the tires. That being said, the M-55 squirms a lot on corners. Typical for a Toyo tire when new, but really exaggerated with a 9,000-pound diesel. Scared me on a few corners. Still love them and I know they will settle down once they wear a little.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The TOYO M-55 tire is the BEST These TOYO M-55 tires are the best. I've used this tire on my 3/4 ton wood truck since it was new. The tires have great traction and a long service life. I just wish they came in a wider range of sizes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tire. Poor tread wear. Great tire. Poor tread wear. My F350 diesel eats em up. But, best off road tire around. Old school.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable ranch tires Great tires, smooth both on dry and wet highway conditions to rough back roads pulling a stock trailer full of cows and or horses, with a four wheeler to boot. A little “Pricey” but dependable even when the tread is a bit worn down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great experience Customer service was great! Consultation turned into a upgrade on tires that were even better than what I was expecting

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomb proof Loud but that was expected. Very, very durable tire. Love the tread. Tire is similar to a BFG

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Studs are a bonus! I love these tires. Great traction, smooth ride! A little noisy, but great for deer. They hesitate. All around a great tire!
Date published: 2022-03-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tire Use these on both of my trucks. I tow boats, travel trailers and cargo trailers with them. The might cost a little more than other tires but I average 70k+ on a set if you keep them the steering aligned and air in the tires. Get them spided otherwise noisey
Date published: 2022-03-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trusting Reliable on muddy roads, good in snow and ice. Good in slush and rain.
Date published: 2022-03-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best! I bought a set of these 7 or 8 years ago. That set went 4 years, almost 80 thousand miles mounted on an F350 work truck! The price went up so I went with some different tires and never got even close to that. After 4 sets of tires I decided to go back to these. They cost more but they are worth it.The tread pattern keeps up with the heavy lug mud and snow tires without the highway wine. Excellent traction and they wear like iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bulletproof! This is my 5th or 6th set of M55's. There's really no reason to try a different tire. They have never let me down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Winter Traction I have used these M-55 tires on my Chevy Tracker since 2001. They give me excellent winter traction and are perfect for on and off road in the summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent offroad traction I had to some light off road driving. The area was not maintained at all.these tires handled very well no slip whatsoever. I'd rate them a 5 star but they wont last for ever. No tire is perfect.
Date published: 2021-08-10
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor tire quality They had hard spots that could not be balanced out. Shook the pickup violently and got worse as you increased speed

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Toyo m-55 studed I needed studded tires couldn’t get from you what I had before! These are louder road noise and don’t handle as well but they work.
