M-55
The M-55 may be the best traction tire for heavy-duty use on light trucks and vans on the market. This is a tough tire for the toughest driving. The aggressive tread pattern includes optional studs and hundreds of siping edges for wet and snow traction in every direction. Open channels on the shoulder clear slush out of the tread with efficiency and improve stability even when you’re hauling loads. The cut- and chip-resistant tread compound protects against impacts. Expect many seasons of use: With an extra-strong sidewall and best-in-class durability, the M-55 outlasts many trucks.
Owners of this tire are repeat customers and say this is the best tire going for traveling in the middle of nowhere on all types of terrain when you can’t afford to get stranded. They can’t say enough about the M-55’s handling on gravel, mud, snow, grass, country roads and the highway.
This tire can have metal studs added to improve traction on hard-packed snow and icy surfaces. They are not recommended on wet or dry surfaces and often only legal during certain times of the year. Studded tires are permitted on passenger/light truck vehicles during the following dates.
