Helping Kids Thrive With a Precious Child

A Precious Child – Broomfield, CO

October 16, 2025

Every child deserves the chance to thrive, with the opportunities and resources they need to reach their full potential. For families across the Denver metro area, A Precious Child helps make that possible.

The Broomfield-based nonprofit provides children with the essentials they need to grow through programs that support them from cradle to career, from basics like clothing and school supplies to enrichment opportunities and workforce readiness. In 2024, A Precious Child served more than 48,000 children and 15,000 caregivers across eight Colorado counties.

A Precious Child depends on reliable transportation to keep its programs running. Their vehicles make it possible to pick up donations, deliver items to 20 satellite locations, and reach families through community distributions. When one of their vehicles needed new tires, our Broomfield Les Schwab team stepped in to help.

“As a nonprofit that relies on donations, we don’t necessarily always have those funds that we can dedicate towards keeping our vehicles safe,” says Courtney Wickberg, Chief Communications Officer of A Precious Child. “Receiving these new tires means that we’re able to distribute the resources and items that we have to the neighborhoods that need them the most.”

For Les Schwab, supporting A Precious Child reflects a shared belief of investing in our youth, creating opportunities so that all kids in our communities can dream and prosper.

“I’ve been one of those kids, I’ve needed help. So now being able to be on the flip side of that, being able to help A Precious Child, it just truly feels great,” said Broomfield Store Manager Stephen Snyman.
