Community Comes Together to Provide 2,000 Thanksgiving Meals
Les Schwab was proud to partner with Second Harvest, a Yakima Valley food assistance program, to help bring 2,000 Thanksgiving meals to families who might have gone without this past holiday.
The 2018 Turkey Drive took nearly 1,000 volunteer hours to unbox turkeys, bag produce, label, and assemble the 2,000 boxes for distribution. Les Schwab was honored to help box some of that food and provided a cash donation for this local, hunger-fighting cause. In total, 300 boxes were delivered to Sunnyside families, 300 to Yakima residents, and 1,400 to those in need in and around Kennewick.
