Les Schwab Tires Brings World-Class Service to Nebraska With Purchase of Modern Tire Pros

Bend, OR — Les Schwab Tire Centers, one of the leading independent tire dealers in the United States, has acquired Modern Tire Pros, at 1402 South Jeffers St. in North Platte, Neb., the companies announced.

The purchase marks Les Schwab Tires’ first entry into Nebraska, making the company’s world-class service and the best tire warranty in America available to customers in 15 states. Les Schwab Tires has a 70-year history of earning customers’ trust throughout the western United States and is top-ranked nationwide by Forbes for customer service in auto repair and maintenance.

Area Manager Jimmy Samdal said Les Schwab is excited to bring the company’s great service to Nebraska.

“Les Schwab Tires started in a small town in 1952, and rural communities are in our DNA,” Samdal said. “We bring generations of hard work and dedication, and our commitment to service extends beyond customers. We’re also dedicated to supporting our employees and communities, and we look forward to doing that here in North Platte.”

Modern Tire Pros Owner Gary Jones said after 43 years in business, the time was right to merge with a like-minded company like Les Schwab Tires. “Our shared focus on unparalleled service and great value made us a perfect fit,” Jones said. “Les Schwab Tires was founded on a belief in honesty, integrity and doing what’s right for the customer every time. It matters a lot to us to leave our great customers in good hands.”

Les Schwab Tires will officially take ownership of the Modern Tire Pros location on Saturday, March 1, and will reopen the store on Monday, March 3, after some updates over the weekend. A community grand opening event is planned for early April.
