Dozer Day® a Favorite with Kids and Families in Post Falls, Idaho

Since 2008, Dozer Day® has been the chance for young children to get behind the wheel of real, heavy equipment. It’s also an opportunity for proud parents to take some great pictures of their kids aboard those machines, and meet industry professionals. This year’s event took place May 18 and 19.

Les Schwab was proud to be among some amazing, local sponsors of the first annual Dozer Day in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. This weekend of family fun gave kids an opportunity to try out dump trucks, dozers, excavators, tire crawls, fire trucks, and activities like the Les Schwab Pit Stop Challenge.

This year, the charitable fundraiser helped raise money for at-risk youth organizations. Those charities included Communities in Schools of Spokane County with a mission to keep teens from dropping out of school, and Children’s Village in Coeur d’Alene dedicated to providing a safe haven for abused and neglected children.

In addition, a donation was made to the groups that provided much of the volunteers for the event, including North Church Youth Group and Coeur d’Alene High School Key Club.
